7UP — ST. PATRICK’S DAY

For St. Patrick’s Day 2025, 7UP held a competition in Ireland, in which gold cans would be hidden in regular multipacks of 7UP. If customers found the gold can, they would win €700. 7UP wanted to run a social campaign that was modern, clean, and premium.

My role was to produce a direction for the shoot, present to client, direct the in-house shoot on the day, and finally colour and edit the photos in post.

I presented three directions to the client in ways we can frame the pictures. The client already had some idea of what they wanted the photographs to look like, so once the direction was ticked off, I started work on creating the shot list, and prop list we’d need.

We strayed away from the stereotypical St. Patrick’s Day aesthetic here. We kept the backgrounds minimal and clean; varying in shades of green, and keeping shamrocks to a minimum only to accent the cans. We leaned on shadows and depth-of-field. I collaborated with a photographer to construct the setup of each shot, compositions, and choosing selects. Finally, I coloured and edited the shots in Lightroom, then Photoshop for final edits.
